Impact Reports
Socorro County program provides programing towards a diverse clientele at almost every meeting, and continues to hold programs at the Alamo Navajo Reservation. Clientele that utilize services or attend programs are 75% likely to continue to utilize service.
Agents held staff meetings that included discussions of Civil Rights and maintaining program parity.
Strong women and bones program is well attended and is representative of the demographics of the community.
A Spanish speaking worker protections training was held with 21 participants. Two producers were supplied resources to conduct their own training.

Civil rights files were maintained throughout the year and filed in compliance with Civil Rights policy. Civil Rights have been discussed during staff meetings.
A non-discrimination statement is printed on all publications, news releases, announcements, flyers, and monthly newsletters presented to the public.
Agent, staff, and volunteers continue to work together to ensure every effort is taken to include non-traditional clientele in programs offered by the Chaves County Extension Service.

During the 2009-2010 program year, the agent offered 7 Spanish-language programs. Topics included money management, understanding feelings, gang prevention, dicipline, self-esteem and healthy homes-allergies and asthma. These programs were offered in County Community Resource Centers, public schools and at community agencies. Programs were offered in Organ, Chaparral, San Miguel, and Anthony.
The agent also had Spanish language material available at all community events in which the agent participated. These community events included Diabetes Wellness Day, International Mariachi Parque Festival, City of Las Cruces National Night Out and the Hatch Chile Fest.
