All staff, at the direction of the agent, participate in regular meetings to keep abreast of civil rights literature and issues that are then filed in the county civil rights file. The agent strives to include all clientele in programs through newspapers, radio, mailings, and letters. Programs are developed with the intent to include all citizens of the county as well as persons with disabilities. All Sierra County Extension programs are advertised as “are programs are available for everyone” and EEO statements and disability compliant on all materials and civil rights files are maintained to insure documentation. All EEO posters are in plan view and kept up to date reflecting current wages as well as ADA compliance. A civil rights review was conducted during the program year were Sierra County met all Civil Rights requirements and comments were that “these are some of the best files we have seen”. All county advisory members are selected to represent the whole county and mapped out to insure documentation as well as ethnic, business, youth, gender, and age representation. A civil right training was attended by all staff and discusses during staff meetings.
