Impact Reports
In 2009, 38 new 4-H leaders completed the application and screening process prior to being enrolled as a Santa Fe County 4-H leader. Up to this point in time we have screened a total of 221 leaders.
I currently have 4 volunteer leaders registered to attended the New Mexico Leader’s Forum in Albuquerque. Parents and volunteers will gain knowledge and understanding of activites that could be used for 4-Hers.

PRIMARY GOAL: Provide youth development training to after-school program staff and to make hands-on curricula available to youth in after-school programs to staff, partners, providers, and volunteers of the NM Integrated Schools Services Initiative (NMISSI).
As a partner with NMISSI, I facilitated 3 half-day trainings to four NMISSI sites. Topics provided by 4-H included:
• Adolescent Development
• Positive Discipline in Out-of-School Settings
• Using Positive Youth Development as an Engagement Strategy
• Age Appropriate Practices and Activities
• 40 Developmental Assets, Search Institute
A total of 70 adults have been trained since May. Trainings will continue through the next year to ensure development of quality after school workers.
