Impact Report | PRIMARY GOAL: Provide youth development training to after-school program staff and to make hands-on curricula available to youth in after-school programs to staff, partners, providers, and volunteers of the NM Integrated Schools Services Initiative (NMISSI). As a partner with NMISSI, I facilitated 3 half-day trainings to four NMISSI sites. Topics provided by 4-H included: • Adolescent Development • Positive Discipline in Out-of-School Settings • Using Positive Youth Development as an Engagement Strategy • Age Appropriate Practices and Activities • 40 Developmental Assets, Search Institute A total of 70 adults have been trained since May. Trainings will continue through the next year to ensure development of quality after school workers. |
