Plan Goal
CIVIL RIGHTS COMPLIANCE BY NMSU COOPERATIVE EXTENSION SERVICE IS MANDATED BY FEDERAL LAWS AND IS DIRECTLY TIED TO EXTENSION'S RECEIPT OF FEDERAL FUNDING. NONCOMPLIANCE MAY LEAD TO LOSS OF FUNDING FROM OUR FEDERAL PARTNER.
Situation Statement
MORA COUNTIES POPULATION CONSISTS OF 80% HISPANTIC, 19% ANGLO AND 1% OTHER. PROGRAMS WILL BE HANDLED IN A MANNER THAT TREATS EVERY CONSUMER AND EMPLOYEE WITH FAIRNESS,EQUALITY,AND RESPECT. WE MUST IDENTIFY NEEDS, SET PRIORITIES,ALLOCATE RESOURCES,AND IMPLEMENT THE PROGRAMS. COUNTIES ARE REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN CIVIL RIGHTS FILES AND ARE REVIEWED EVERY FOUR YEARS.
Target Audience and Actions
THE TARGET AUDIENCE IS COMPOSED OF ALL RESIDENTS OF MORA COUNTY. INFORMATION WILL BE DISTRUBTED THROUGH PUBLICATIONS,WORKSHOPS,PRESENTATIONS AND INDIVIDUAL HELP WITH RESIDENTS OF MORA COUNTY WHO ARE INTERESTED IN IMPROVING THEIR SELVES THROUGH EXTENSION. WE WILL MAKE ALL REASONABLE EFFORTS TO INCLUDE THOSE PEOPLE WHO MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT EXTENSION PROGRAMS.
Short-Term Objectives
1. AGENT WILL CHECK CIVIL RIGHTS FILES AND UP DATE FILES IN THE FIRST SIX MONTHS. 2. ALL REASONABLE EFFORTS WILL BE CARRIED OUT TO ENSURE EQUAL ACCESS AND INTERGRATION OF CLUBS. 3. ALL Mailing lists will be checked for equality.
Medium-Term Objectives
EXTENSION PROGRAMS, METHODS, CONTENT AND PLACES OF SERVICES ARE IMPLEMENTEDIN A MANNER THAT ENSURES NONDISCRIMINATION TO ALL PEOPLE SERVED BY THE COOPERATIVE SERVICE IN MORA COUNTY.
Long-Term Objectives
COUNTY DIRECTOR WILL MAINTAIN COMPLIANCE WITH CIVIL RIGHTS LAWS,RULES,AND REGULATIONS. ANNUAL REPORTS WILL INCLUDE EVIDENCE OF PUBLIC NOTIFICATION,GROUPS SERVED AND DOCUMENTATION OF NONDISSCRIMINATION FOR EXTENSION PROGRAMS IN MORA COUNTY.
Evaluation Plan
THE STATE OFFICE CONDUCTS A CIVIL RIGHTS REVIEW EVERY FIVE YEARS OF COUNTY OFFICES, AT THAT TIME REDOMMENDATIONS IF ANY WILL BE MADE AND CORRECTED BY THE COUNTY STAFF.
