The agent also offered a parenting training "Building Self-Worth" to 7 NMSU head start parents.
The agent offered the 8 parenting programs "Understanding Feelings" to 150 participants. Programs were offered in English and Spanish to Families & Youth, Inc. Treatment Foster Care Parents, Parents at Anthony Middle School, Columbia Elementary, Organ Community Resource Center, TeamWorks and Community Action Agency.
The agency also offered a parenting program on "Communication" at Columbia Elementary to 6 participants.

The agent has offered parenting education through one-time programs or a program series, depending on the needs of the clientele. Collaborative relationships were established between CES and the Doña Ana County Health & Human Services Division (DAC HHS) Community Centers, Las Cruces Public Schools, Hatch Valley Public Schools, Gadsden Public Schools and Families and Youth, Inc. to offer parenting workshops to parent groups. When possible the agent collects an evaluation following parenting programs.
The agent consistently receives evaluations that show 85-90% of participants view the program as very useful. The agent presented a parenting program on Communication and Self-Esteem to parents at San Miguel Elementary. The agent was invited by an ENLACE Parent Ambassador at the Parent Center at San Miguel Elementary. ENLACE (Engaging LAtino Communities in Education) established Parent Centers at elementary schools in the Gadsden Independent School District. The program was offered in Spanish.
The agent offered parenting education through a one-time program or a program series, depending on the needs of the clientele. Collaborative relationships were established between CES and the Doña Ana County Health & Human Services Division, Las Cruces Public Schools, Hatch Valley Public Schools, Gadsden Public Schools and Community Action Agency and Families and Youth, Inc. During the 2006-2007 program year, 11 Parenting programs were offered in Doña County. These programs were offered in Mesquite, Anthony, Las Cruces and Organ. The majority of these programs were offered in Spanish.
Evaluations from participants in these parenting programs showed that more than 80% of parents wanted to change their own parenting behavior in one or more of the following areas: increasing communication with their children, fostering their children’s self-esteem, having more empathy for and patience with their children and setting family rules.
