Long-term Objectives
1. Contribute to the advancement and body of knowledge on youth development educational efforts statewide and nationally.
2. Develop program connectivity to other schools in the district and the surrounding geographic area.
3. Establish 1 to 3 new science center in New Mexico.

Obj. 1 - Two articles about the Center have been published in peer-reviewed publications and two abstracts have been published in national conference proceedings.
Obj. 2 – In light of the current economic situation, attempts to increase program connectivity have not been initiated.
Obj. 3 – No attempts to establish new centers undertaken due to lack of research on program impact.

A GPS Unit was developed and pilot tested with 7th and 8th grade students at Memorial Middle School and the curriculum is being refined for use independently by 4-H and other collaborative efforts.

A Robotics unit was developed and will be pilot tested in the upcoming year. The curriculum will then be refined for use independently by 4-H and other collaborative efforts just like the GPS programming.

The Agent, along with the center director, hosted a renewable energy workshop at the 4-H Youth Camp in Las Cruces.

This year the Agent collaborated with 4-H on various occasions. He met with San Miguel County's 4-H Agent and assisted her in her Kids, Kows, and More program while also trying to set up an Arbor Day grafting workshop and 4-H Million trees project.
