Impact Report Senior Leadership Retreat Seven 4-H youth attended Senior Leadership Retreat held in Albuquerque. Youth participated in hands on workshops and activities designed to increase life skills related to social skills, cooperation, teamwork, communication and service learning. 89% of youth participants reported an increase in the ability to be more out spoken and also helped them to meet new people. One youth stated: “I love SLR! I had so much fun! I just wish it lasted longer.” County Competitive Events County competitive events and contest trainings were conducted to expand life skills and knowledge. 100% of senior youth advanced to state level competition. Contest areas included land judging and range management. 91% of youth participating increased mastery and independence related to teamwork, character, and critical thinking as evidenced by positive sportsmanship, team camaraderie, and completion of project related activities.
