Impact Report After School Summer Program County Extension personnel provided quality educational experiences to the Family Resource and Referral after school summer program. 80 youth from kindergarten through 5th grade gained knowledge related to New Mexico wildlife and sheep and wool production through a series of programs developed by the 4-H agent. The programs were developed and presented through state legislative outreach funds in the form of mini grants that were applied for by the 4-H agent. Youth gained life skills related to wise use of resources and mastery by learning to learn and responsible citizenship as evidenced by the youths’ involvement in wildlife conservation techniques and increased ability to reason and follow logical steps in completing tasks.
