Plan Goal

To enrich the lives of 4-H youth by helping them to develop life skills and increase their knowledge of foods, nutrition and home economics related topics.

Situation Statement

Home Economics youth development programs emphasize the importance of developing skills for life. Youth who are able to develop life skills at early ages are likely to develop into active citizens and contributing members of their families and communities.

Target Audience and Actions

San Juan County youth ages 5 to 19 involved and interested in 4-H programming and learning through home economics related projects, competitive events, fairs, workshops, community service, etc.

Short-Term Objectives

During the 4-H program year, youth involved in San Juan County 4-H will have the opportunity to increase their life skills knowledge through hands-on experiences such as workshops, clinics, etc.
