Plan Goal

Increase 4-H Volunteer competencies in project knowledge and leadership.

Situation Statement

There are no requisites of knowledge for being a 4-H Leader. Many Leaders bring significant technical skills and knowledge with them to contribute to the 4-H Program but many leaders learn the skills and academics related to the project as needed to assist youth in their project work. In effect our efforts to educate leaders can trickle down to influence and help much greater numbers of youth to succeed in their projects.

Target Audience and Actions

The target audience are adults that are enrolled as 4-H leaders.

Short-Term Objectives

Increase awareness of resources for 4-H Leaders to sharpen their skills and improve their competencies as project leaders.

Medium-Term Objectives

Increase the competencies and skills of 4-H leaders.

Long-Term Objectives

Have experienced and competent 4-H Leaders teach new 4-H Leaders the skills and knowledge that are essential to being successful 4-H Leaders.

Evaluation Plan

Collect data on effectiveness of trainings from participants in leader trainings. Document how many leader trainings are offered and who is teaching them. Document how many leaders from Grant County have attended trainings and how many trainings.
