Plan Goal
This plan is developed to increase the number of volunteer leeders, leader trainings and support of volunteers.
Situation Statement
Without volunteers this program would not be as successful as it is. Catron County is very rural, with out many high paying jobs. Many times the 4-H volunteers also volunteer for many other activities, as well as hold a job. Population is on the rise in this county. Many of these people have no knowledge of 4-H or have had no expirence with volunteer efferts. We are in a changing situation at this time, therefor information is key at this point to sucure strong, positive leaders.
Target Audience and Actions
This plan will target residents of the county 19 years or older in catron County. This plan will recruit, screen, train and support all leaders. This plan will also utilize senior 4-H members as leaders, especially for specific projects and programs.
Short-Term Objectives
1.Recruit new citizens with information and awarness of the positive aspects of 4-H. 2.Screen all leaders. 3. Provide all leaders one leader training per year. 4. Provide all leaders with a quarterly news letter. 5. Be available to and support all leaders.
Medium-Term Objectives
Whithin 3 years this plan will - 1. Increase numbers of leaders by 10%. 2.Provide one local leader training. 3. Encourage participation in state leader forum. 4. Provide all leaders with news letter. 5.Be available to assist and support all leaders.
Long-Term Objectives
In 3 to 5 years this plan will - 1.Increase number of leaders by 20%. 2.Provide one local leader training. 3.Encourage participation in state and national leader trainings. 4.Provide news letter to all leaders. 5.Be available to assist and support all leaders.
Evaluation Plan
This plan will compare the number of active leaders leaders. Leaders will be surveyed once a year, to evaluate thenselves as well as support from the Cooperative Extension Service. Surveys will be used after trainings.
