Plan Goal

This plan is developed to increase membership numbers, participation, and gain knowledge and skills using 4-H programing, throughout Catron County;Anything related to YOUTH programming.

Situation Statement

Catron County is very rural, it fosters a very traditional 4-H program. Youth activites are limited and with a large portion of the yourth being homeschooled there is not much involvment in Extra Curricular Activities provided through the school. Advisory Committee imput indicates that contunied emphasis be placed on 4-H throughout the county. Catron County youth need more hands on activites and experences. More Activites and exprences will foster youth praticipation in leadership and citizenship roles.

Target Audience and Actions

The targeted audience for this plan will 4-H as well as non 4-H youth ages 5-19 as well as parents in Catron County.
1. Utilize all modes of 4-H programing wanted or needed in the school system to educate youth as requested.
2.Recruit to increase membership and praticipation in 4-H projects adn activites within the county as well as on the state and national level. 3. Educate traditional 4-H members through projects work, trainings, camps, practices, book keeping, competitive events and fund raising.

Short-Term Objectives

Make all youth 5-19 and their parents aware of the learning and leadership activities that are available in thier local communites and throughout the county and state. 4-H members will have assiatance in completing projects and provide oppertunities to gain knowledge adn succeed at all levels of competition for personal achievement.

Medium-Term Objectives

Increase participation in club, county, district, and statewide and national activities and experience. These include but are not limited to project meetings, county, district and statewide leadership and competitive activities as well as other locally sponsered events adn activities.

Long-Term Objectives

New programs will be introduced as needed and/or wanted. Students completing programs will have better life skills to succeed in leadership, citezenship, and diversity.Advisory board will be active and informing to enhance youth education and activity in Catron County. The agent will seek out new residents and provide information about 4-H and Extension services. Through praticipation in club, county, district, state, and national prjects and activties, Catron County 4-H youth will be able to make informed personal decisions and be able to communicate effectievely with the world around them.

Evaluation Plan

The evaluation process will include an annual assessmetn of 4-H member enrollments. Teh assessmetn will include a determination of the percentage of eligible 4-H youth that re-enroll in the 4-H program. An annual assessmetn will aso be made of the youth 5-19 years old in the county to insure all are aware fo the 4-H program.
