Plan Goal

Create a greater awareness of county tourism with all its possiblilities and how it stand to impact our local ecomony

Situation Statement

At present Guadalupe county only attracts about 9percent of the traveling population to the county we would like to attract a much larger group of tourists . We have a large span of avalilable activities that would interest the mobile group Water is our main source of atraction and then the beauty that comes with rock formation.

Target Audience and Actions

Tourist professionals and nmsu faculty as well as county agents and all other community groups are a part of the audience .REDTTS appeal is with the many different groups that can be represented. And with the funding that is provided for the redtt communitys. REDTT teams work with the different tourism councils and the agents to help create a unquie set of opportunities for that county.

Short-Term Objectives

To develop a core groups of comprised of 10 or 12 indiivduals that are interested in rural economic development . People that have the true value of the county and its culture and heritage. To be able to meet on a regular basis at leaast 5 times a year and discuss the many possibilitys of what rural tourism can do for your county and small communitys.

Medium-Term Objectives

Develop a tourism hospitality training that at least 12 people can participate in show an increase in the avalilable skills that employees are able to practice reglularly. Survey all participants each time an activity occur to get a greater understanding of what they liked and what more can be done to enhace the tourism trade.

Long-Term Objectives

Continue an ongoing tourism council that can build on to itself and is able to have a far reaching approach to tourism . Uilize community leaders that can gauge the increases in tourism by thier businesses and are able to say that REDTT was the main cause for the increase in their business.

Evaluation Plan

Design a ctc perception survey that is used annaully and is used to get a feel for the hosptatlity services that were provided . Measurable objectives will be assessed through questioanires from all county participants As to the need to change or keep going in the same direction Continual feedback from tourist or other interested people will help determine our direction
