Plan Goal
INCREASE THE NUMBER OF 4H PROJECT LEADERS FOR OUR CLUBS. INCREASE INROLLMENT NUMBERS OF 4HERS IN THE COUNTY. PROVIDE TRAINING AND DIRECTION IN LIFESKILLS.
Situation Statement
4H PROGRAMING REACHES ABOUT 3% OF THE CHILDREN UNDER 19 IN MORA COUNTY. LIFE SKILLS ARE ESSENTIAL TO YOUNG PEOPLE TO BECOME PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS. BY DEVELOPING LIFE SKILLS, 4HERS ARE AFFORDED AN OPPORTUNITY TO ASPIRE TO BECOME PRODUCTIVE ADULTS. THE 4H PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN NEW LIFESKILLS.
Target Audience and Actions
PROVIDE MORA COUNTY YOUTH AGES 5 TO 19 LIFESKILLS,PROJECT WORK, SCHOOL ENRICHMENT,LEADERSHIP,COMMUNICATION SKILLS. THESE SKILLS CAN BE TOUGHT EVENTS SUCH AS FAIRS, WORKSHOPS, PROJECT MEETINGS AND STATE 4H EVENTS LIKE STATE CONFERENCE, LIVESTOCK SCHOOLS,CAMPS AND4H MEETINGS.
Short-Term Objectives
BY AFFORDING YOUTH LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IT IS PROJECTED 85% OF THE YOUTH IN THE FIRST TWO MONTHS WILL AQUIRE ONE OF THE LIFESKILLS NEEDED IN THE FUTURE. WE WILL ALSO RECRUIT THREE NEW PROJECT LEADERS AT THE FIRST MEETING OF THE NEW YEAR.
Medium-Term Objectives
YOUTH WITH 2TO 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN 4H PROGRAMING WILL DEVELOP LIFE SKILLS THROUGH PROJECT WORK, REAL-LIFE SITUATIONS, COUNTY FAIRS AND CONFERENCES.
Long-Term Objectives
85% OF YOUTH WITH AT LEAST 4 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN 4H WILL LEARN SUBJECT MATTER CONCEPTS THROUGH HANDS-ON EXPERIENCES SUCH AS COUNTY FAIRS, LIVESTOCK SCHOOLS, WORKSHOPS AND PROJECT MEETINGS.
