Impact Reports
District Contest-County 4-H Home Economist helped with Consumer Decision Making and Fashion Revue Northwest District Contest held in San Juan County. Agent worked with members to prepare them for their individual contests. Members learned modeling techniques and how to judge consumer decision making classes.
4-H Carnival- County 4-H Home Economist setup and organized a carnival to kick off summer. Twelve 4-H clubs set up 17 different activities including: pie throwing, balloon darts, saddle ring toss, fishing, pony rides, and many others. During the 4 hour event 4-H members and community members were able to have fun and learn about the 4-H program. 1400 dollars was raised to support 4-H programs in Bernalillo County. The Urban 4-H Agent assisted with the concession stand. Approximately 200 were in attendance.
Native American Shooting Sports Clinic-County 4-H Home Economist worked with Urban 4-H agent to present a shooting sports activity for the Native American Teen Group in Albuquerque. County 4-H Home Economist setup and manned the shooting sports trailer for approximately three hours. 9 youth were taught about gun safety, shooting, proper handling and positions.

Home School Fair-County 4-H Home Economist set up and manned booth at the Home School Fair at Taylor Ranch Community Center. Various youth organizations and home school educators from across the county came together to trade curriculum and showcase programs available to youth. Agent spent four hours talking with youth organizations, parents, and youth about the benefits and activities in the 4-H program. Approximately 200 community members were present. Community members learned about the 4-H program, how to join, the programs we offer, current activities open to the public and the ICAN program.
