Achievement Day
Approximately, 92 youth participated in the Doņa Ana County 4-H/FFA EXPO Achievement Day showcasing their development of life skills through indoor exhibits related to over 200 project areas. Over 250 items were exhibited. Youth received recognition and feedback for continued improvement of knowledge and skills. Over $1500 was paid out to County 4-H members through premiums for entering Achievement Day exhibits.

Awards & Recognition:
30 4-H youth served as keynote speakers, emcees, pledge leaders and presenters at the annual Doņa Ana County 4-H Awards Night in December. Members increase their public speaking skills and giving leadership to the overall program. Members received plaques and medals in recognition of their achievements and increase life skills related to mastery, belonging, generosity and independence throughout the 2007-2008 program year. 275 members, leaders and guests attended the event.

Record Books:
A countywide record booking training was conducted in September 2008 and again October 2009. The training was conducted by a Senior 4-H member, who taught the importance of completing a record book, what is included in record books, the difference between leadership, citizenship and achievement activities and roles as well as how record books are judged. In September, 18 youth and 14 adults were present; October there was 10 youth and 4 adults in attendance. 80 4-Her’s completed record books this past year.

Newsletter:
A monthly newsletter is prepared and sent out to approximately 440 members , cloverbuds, leaders and supporters. It is an effective tool in communicating with 4-Hers about events, updates, news and accomplishments. Members have the opportunity to submit articles for the newsletter increasing the communication skills.

Enrollment:
This year in Doņa Ana County, there were 440 members and cloverbuds enrolled in our program. There was a total of 89 enrolled adult volunteer leaders to assist with programming efforts.
