Pesticide Applicator’s Training

The agent conducted a Pesticide Applicator License Continuing Education Workshop to assist New Mexico pesticide license holders in securing continuing education for their pesticide licenses. Eleven individuals attended the training and gained knowledge of pesticide safety and application, federal and state pesticide laws, pesticide labeling, pesticide formulations, storage, and recordkeeping. Private pesticide applicator license holders are agricultural commodity producers that are licensed to purchase and apply or supervise the application of restricted use pesticides. License holders can significantly reduce pesticide application costs by applying pesticides themselves as commercial application of pesticides can cost in the average of $120.00 per hour or more.
