County 4-H Home Economist helped with Consumer Decision Making and Fashion Revue Northwest District Contest held in San Juan County. Agent worked with members to prepare them for their individual contests. Members learned modeling techniques and how to judge consumer decision making classes.

County 4-H Home Economist planned and conducted a 5 Sewing Fun Days for Novice, Junior, and Senior Members. 5 youth from various clubs attended the fun days. Each day consisted of 2 hours of instruction in various sewing techniques and projects. The first day of class youth learned the basic parts of a sewing machine and how to operate theirs. Youth practiced on sample pieces of paper and were able to make greeting cards by the end of the session. During the other sessions youth were instructed in making tote bags, pillow cases, sewing tool kits, and patch work pillows.

County 4-H Home Economist planned and conducted a Housing and Interior Design Fun Day for Novice, Junior, and Senior Members. 10 youth from various clubs attended the fun day. Youth were able to learn about making various crafts for the home. During the evening the Agent work with a Junior member to instruct how to make mini tack boards with the group. Youth also learned about making covered cans.

County 4-H Home Economist setup and organized a carnival to kick off summer. Eight 4-H clubs set up 10 different activities including: cake walk, chicken catapult, balloon darts, fishing ponds, and many others. During the 4 hour event 4-H members and community members were able to have fun and learn about the 4-H program. 791 dollars was raised to support 4-H programs in Bernalillo County. Various County Agents were on hand to help throughout the day. Approximately 150 were in attendance.

County 4-H Home Economist worked with County Leadership Team to present This is 4-H workshop to 23 youth. The County Leadership Team worked for several months to design workshops on Decision Making and Judging; public speaking; recreation; 4-H Jeopardy; and This is 4-H craft activity. Youth were divided into teams and set on a ration schedule to attend the various workshops. At the end of the morning youth came together to make 4-H Friendship bracelets and learned about how 4-H started. While completing the workshop the County Leadership Team learned about teamwork, public speaking, and how to be creative in designing workshops.
