Leadership Team- Team Building Nights-County 4-H Home Economist presented and organized monthly Leadership Team- team building nights. The County Leadership Team came together for an ice cream and recreation night. Members participated in giant Jega, Dance Twister, Balloon races, line boxing, and static cling balloon games. During the night members of the Leadership Team learned about working together, listening, communication, and having fun as a team. Approximately 15 members were present for the two hour session.

Favorite Food Show Orientation-County 4-H Home Economist presented workshop on the Favorite Foods contest. During the workshop members interested in the Favorite Foods Contest learned what it was all about. They also learned about the guidelines and rules associated with the contest. Safe food handling practices were also covered. Approximately five members were in attendance.

Monthly Project Meetings-County 4-H Home Economist, adult volunteers and senior 4-H members presented monthly project meetings prior to each monthly council meeting. The agent worked with clothing members on their yearly projects while volunteers and senior members taught 4-H members about leathercraft, scrapbooking, and cake decorating. Each class lasted an hour and a half. Approximately 12 members were in attendance each month. Members learned the in’s and out’s of clothing construction including: the purpose of interfacing, how to put in zippers, and how to construct darts and pleats.

Friends of 4-H Dinner and Dance-County 4-H Home Economist worked with County Council Leadership Team to plan and present a recognition program for the many leaders and volunteers who assisted 4-H during the 05-06 4-H year. Agent delegated duties between the various 4-H clubs and catered the event. The County Council Leadership Team worked and prepared thank you’s for club leaders, committees, volunteers and sponsors. After dinner and the banquet a dance was hosted for 4-H families and volunteers. Approximately 280 volunteers and community members attended the dinner. During the program Leadership Team members learned about time management, public speaking and the importance of thanks our volunteers.

4-H International Night-County 4-H Home Economist worked with IFYE committee to plan and organize 4-H International Night. Various 4-H clubs and the county council worked for several months to plan and decorate their booths based on chosen countries. 4-H members researched countries and planned and prepared menus based on their given country. During the three hour long event members educated the public on their respective countries and severed food. During this process members learned safe food handling practices, public speaking, teamwork, and also learned about the IFYE program and various countries. Community members learned about the 4-H program, the IFYE program and facts on many different countries. There were approximately 130 4-H members and community members present for the event.
