Civil Rights compliance by New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Service is mandated by federal laws and is directly tied to Extension's receipt of federal funding. Noncompliance may lead to loss of funding from our Federal partner.

Ninety-five percent of the publications, newsletters and newsreleases sent out of the Lea County Extension Office, contained the NMSU Civil Rights clause.
To accommidate the large number of Spanish-speaking individuals during a Child Caregivers workshop, a Spanish only track was planned. Speakers were asked to convey the workshop in Spanish and English.
