Impact Report | State 4-H Conference Forty three volunteers and youth spent a week in Las Cruces at the State 4-H Conference. Youth were involved in competition and attended workshops developing leadership, teamwork, and hands on skills. One youth from Curry County was re-elected to the State 4-H Leadership team as the 4-H president. Youth competed in events such as wool judging, fashion revue, land judging, horticulture, horse judging, livestock judging, meats judging, and public speaking contests. Throughout the week of competition curry county youth received fourteen individual awards and nine team awards. Youth reflected that they enjoyed the conference and that many of them made new friends and learned new activities they could use in Curry County programming. |
