| Impact Report | The Sierra County Fair Board along with the assistance of the agent initiated the 2007 Pick-up Party Fund raiser. The Pick up Party is an annual event that raffles off $100 dollar tickets for a grand prize of $10,000 dollars. Over 400 people attended the event with 250 tickets sold. 30 volunteers assisted with the fund raiser and the fair board raised $11,000 dollars for fair related expenses. The event is very successful and one of the first of its kind. The funds are also used to boost the Junior Livestock Sale at the Southern New Mexico State Fair. |
