Impact Report The state-wide REDTT program, having undergone drastic change this past program year, affected the local tourism and economic development activities and future objectives. The agent assisted the local tourism council with several activities addressing tourism and econcomic development. **The toursim council purchased a travling display case and the agent assisted with the development of a display at the state-wide REDTT program held in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The program offered economic development type presentations from many successful endeavors in communities around the state. The agent spoke with a state-wide group of 20 idividuals and described the strategic planned developed by the Fort Sumner community to enhance and effectively increase utilization of the local rodeo and fair grounds. In addition, the agent, along with several other local tourism council members, manned county information display for two days at the event, handing out information about the county and tourist attractions. A total of 150-200 people toured the display. **The agent and County Extension staff worked with funds from the local Community Development Coorporation, the Chamber of Commerce,the Village of Fort Sumner and the County, to develop and construct and County Agriculture, Natural Resource and tourism display at the State Fair. A total of 300 people a day viewed the booth during the two week run of the state fair. In addition, the booth was honored with the first place ribbon among county displays and the "Outstanding Exhibit" ribbon in honor of the the Bolack Agriculture's 50th year anniversary. **The agent assisted the community of Fort Sumner and De Baca County with tourism and economic development endeavors at Winter Fest, the County Fair and Old Fort Day's, serving on the planning committee's for each activity, which brings in several hundred people to De BAca County each year. **Upon the disolving of the NMSU REDTT program in August, the local toursim council decided to wait until this Fall to hold any more formal meetings until a new direction for council activities and source of funding for mini-projects.
