Impact Report | A total of 361 youth were reached through school enrichment efforts by the 4-H Home Economist in 2006-2007 at Pojoaque Elementary school, Temple Beth Shalom Religious School, and Garcia Street Club. Breakdown by curriculum area resulted in a total of 50 youth participating in various lessons from the Germ Detective curriculum, 41 youth participating in various lessons from the Team Nutrition curriculum, and 270 youth participated in lessons from the Taste Buddies curriculum. Additional programs that resulted from these efforts included a day-long teacher in-service at Garcia Street Club on youth nutrition, an after-school parent meeting titled “How to Feed Youth Nutritiously” also at Garcia Street Club, and a new in-school 4-H club at Temple Beth Shalom. |
