Impact Report | By improving the knowledge of livestock production and motivating the Native American livestock producers to imporve their herds, this will help to improve their income and motivate the younger generation to continue the operation. By working with livestock producers on the Ten Southern Indian Pueblos we can help them improve better bull selection, better heifer relpacement and nutrition. I am currently conducting Beef Quality Assurance workshops on the Southern Pueblos to educate livestock producers of the proper vaccinations and increase price/lbs on weaned calves sold. By improving the short and medium objectives livestock producers can improve their income by 20% to 25%. By improving their cattle operation some producers can become self employed. |
