Impact Report | TRIBAL 4-H PLANNING COMMITTEE: Northern District CES Agents, State Specialists and District Director have met numerous times this 4-H year to discuss the needs of an underserved population in New Mexico Native Americans. Planning included discussions of culture awareness, protocol among the various Nations, and involvement of youth and adults in the 4-H program. Currently Sandoval County has an active 4-H club on the Navajo Nation and a newly formed 4-H club on the Santo Domingo Pueblo. Home Ecnomist and 4-H Agent have had an audience with tribal leaders including Governors, in Santa Ana, Zia and Jemez Pueblos. Key individuals and facilities are being identified for the success of these 4-H programs. |
