Impact Report | Tribal 4-H Planning Committee- Northern District CES Agents, State Specialists and Director have met numerous times this 4-H year to discuss the needs of an underserved population in the Northern New Mexico Native Americans. Stategic planning to involve youth and adults in 4-H and Agriculture programs is the key goal of this committee. Many tribal representatives have provided crucial information related to culture, tradition and governmental practices. Currently Sandoval County has an active 4-H Club on the Navajo Nation and a newly formed 4-H Club in Santo Domingo Pueblo. Agents have had an audience with tribal leaders, including Governors, in Santa Ana, Zia and Jemez Pueblos. Key individuals and facilities are being identified for the success of these 4-H programs. |
