From the evaluation tool given at the 2011 NM Equine Industry Summit in March, well over 50% of the participants consistently reported that they gained valuable information that they would use to improve the efficiency of their horse enterprise. Nearly 40% of respondents indicated that this “new” knowledge led them to change their attitude or reconsider their beliefs on the topics covered. 2.a. In 2011, the total number of youth enrolled (1787) in 4-H Horse and Rodeo projects was 21% greater than enrollment (1477) in those same projects for the 2010 reporting year. |
