Impact Report COMMUNITY SERVICE Of the 180 youth enrolled in the 4-H program 55% conduct community service projects and 35% of 4-H youth participate in service projects at the county level. Examples of county community service projects include: highway trash clean ups, washing windows at local businesses, cleanup and repairs at fairgrounds, assist elderly with yard work, clothes and blanket donations, food drives and many other creative community contributions. Youth increase knowledge and skills related to generosity and service learning, contributions to group efforts and responsible citizenship as evidenced by willingness to serve, appreciation of service opportunities and youth assuming leadership roles related to service. Results were reported by club leaders and in member 4-H record books.
