Impact Report | Range Worm Survey The agent assisted in identifying a range worm outbreak in the southwestern part of the county for a second year in a row. The agent contacted a neighboring agent to assist with the evaluation of the outbreak. The agent helped the producers flag the infestations over a ten mile radius and spray. As a result the producers were able to stop the windrowing of the range worms in two days. This resulted in a $10,000 savings of the grass that would have been affected if not treated in a timely manner. The agent and another agent have been working with another University on using glue traps to catch the larva that are missed during the spraying. |
