Impact Report 2011 State Leadership Team One Colfax County youth ran for a state officer position this year in Las Cruces, at State Conference. This youth learned a lot about preparation, public speaking, meeting deadlines, fundraising etc. She gained life skills related to goal setting, planning and organizing, self discipline, and leadership. She made the comment that “State Conference is a lot more work when you are running for an office.”
