| Impact Report | 2011 Spring Livestock Show Agent made arrangements with the Fairboard and coordinated with a judge to put on our Spring Show. We had classes on beef, goats, sheep, and swine. We first judged the animals and then we judged the kids on showmanship. Because it is a financially tight year for our Fair Board, Agent raised about $240 dollars in donations for prizes. Most of the prizes were gift certificates to local feed and tack stores. Many members reported learning a lot about the right technique for showing their animal and what types of changes to exercise and diet they could make to get desired outcome. Fourteen youth participated in this event with 27 animals. |
