| Impact Report | 2011 Home Visits for Weighing and Shearing Agent made about 16 home visits assisting 11 Colfax County youth. In these home visits agent covered topics such as; weight, feed, tagging & identification purposes, showing, clipping, washing, and exercise. One hundred percent of the youth gained knowledge related to what their animal’s weights, how they need to adjust the feed so that the animal is the desired weight at show time, how to clip their animal, how and why to tag their animal, and in some cases what the desired weight for show is. Youth gained life skills related to mastery, goal setting, planning and organizing, problem solving, and keeping records. |
