| Impact Report | 2011 State Conference Agent prepared letters and transportation means for the delegation to go to Las Cruces, NM. Agent and County Home Economist chaperoned seven youth to State 4-H Conference. The seven youth competed in 10 different contest areas. We fielded full teams in Livestock Skill-a-thon and Wildlife. We had one youth win 2nd place in General Presentations, and 4th in Impromptu Public Speaking. Another youth from Colfax County placed 5th in Impromptu Public Speaking. We may not have done as good as we did last year competition wise, but everyone had a good time and learned a lot. Many of the kids were pretty excited to try again next year. Agent sent out a press release regarding our trip and the Counties representation at the State 4-H Contests. Youth increased mastery and independence related to teamwork, character and critical thinking as evidenced by team camaraderie, positive sportsmanship, success in their events, and completion of project related activities. |
