Impact Report Statewide Exhibition Six 4-H members took their projects to higher learning levels with the next competitive step, statewide exhibition. Members wishing to show at State Fair exhibit some of the highest work ethic and devotion to the preparation of their animal projects. 4-H members are faced with tough yet healthy competition and as a result, are pushed closer to mastery of their skills. The work ethic, devotion, and concentration they utilize to effectively apply their skills will be instilled in their belief structures and beneficially used later in life. Participation at State Fair was up this year. There were 57% more 4-H’ers exhibiting animals this year, bringing the total to eleven 4-H members at Expo New Mexico. Seventeen 4-H youth attended and exhibited 7 different species of large animal livestock projects at the Southern Fair in Las Cruces. All members increased their exhibition skills as evidence by their improvement and quality of exhibition at County Fair.
