Impact Report The Luna County Agriculture Agent held one pesticide workshop with Border Foods Inc, to increase the awareness of GAPS and to give local and regional producers a chance to earn CEU's for the year. 3 CEU's were awarded and a total of 42 producers took part in this workshop. Topics covered were safe handling of chile products from start to finish. Early detection is important when dealing with farm pests and managing wildilfe and their damage to crops. Other topics were discussed in a Q&A section. The agent also held a test day for any producers that wanted to get their private applicators card. 7 producers showed and were awarded the card. Producers thanked the agent for organizinng the training and test day. The test and CEU forms were used to collect data from the programs.
