Impact Report The agent wanted to duplicate a demonstration project from Oregon State University on the use of remote water sensors to assist Livestock producers in their management of the water. In researching the project and getting things set up cost quickly began to rise. The agent researched the remote monitoring technology and became aware of several different methods that could be utilized, one being satellite time and the other radio frequency. Several producers showed a great interest in utilizing this new technology to reduce labor and fuel cost when monitoring livestock wells. The agent will continue to look at avenues to help fund demonstration effort.
