Impact Report A new program, Renewable Energy, was developed and pilot tested with 8th grade science classes. The students learned what renewable energy is, why it is important, and the pros and cons of using each type of renewable energy. A GPS program was developed and pilot tested with 7th and 8th grade classes to supplement their studies on determining area, perimeter, measurement, and using GPS technology. A LEGO Robotics unit was also developed this year with the intention of pilot testing it in the upcoming year and to be delivered through an 8th grade advanced class. A partnership has also been formed with River Source where a select group of 8th grade students will assist them in their Watershed Watch program.
