Impact Report The Agent worked closely with Memorial Middle School faculty to successfully integrate Center teaching and learning engagement activities in Memorial Middle School core curriculum. An existing program, a wind energy unit, was delivered to 6th grade students. These students learned what wind energy is, why it is useful, how wind turbines work, and finished by building mini turbines themselves and creating their own mini wind farms. The Agent also co-taught a Soil pH unit that was delivered to 6th grade students and focused on introducing the students to the scientific method, assisted in 7th grade science classes' insect collection, and with 6th grade social studies classes on the role of agriculture, harvest, and acequias.
