Impact Report | University High School Sewing Classes Eight clothing classes were conducted at Roswell’s alternative high school to teach high risk/low income students sewing basics. Through open labs and individual attention, the program assistant attended classes twice a week and worked with students to construct a tote bag/diaper bag and a crib quilt during the semester. The classes are ongoing, but at the reporting date, 12 class sewing sessions have been held. Eight students have completed their tote bags and 3 students have started the quilt project, with 37 total contacts for the semester. |
