Impact Report | Range Worm Workshop The agent along with an agent from a neighboring county presented a workshop on range worm control. The agents presented on how to identify the problem before the outbreak occurs, some recommendations on what methods of control to use, and how to calibrate a sprayer to use for control. Some other topics that were presented on were recommended chemicals for control and private pesticide applicator license that is required to purchase chemical for chemical control. There was only one producer that attended however, she was able to report back in August that she was able to prevent an outbreak on her ranch and that they had an 85% success rate of spraying the worms saving them roughly $8,000 in feed costs for this winter. |
