Impact Report Statewide Exhibition Six 4-H members took their projects to higher learning levels and the next competitive step, statewide exhibition. Members wishing to show at State Fair exhibit some of the highest work ethic and devotion to the preparation of their animal projects. 4-H members are faced with tough yet healthy competition and as a result, are pushed closer to mastery of their skills. The work ethic, devotion, and concentration they utilize to effectively apply their skills will be instilled in their belief structures and beneficially used later in life. Eighteen 4-H youth attended and exhibited at the Southern Fair in Las Cruces. 89% of students increased their exhibition skills as evidence by their improvement and quality of exhibition at County Fair. Of the original 18, 78% of exhibitor’s made sale at Southern and brought home over 22,000 dollars to help reward their efforts.
