Impact Report | During the 2009-2010 membership year, the County Council Officer Team provided leadership opportunities at the county level in conjunction with County Council meetings. The first ever Project Fair was hosted in February. Under the leadership of the County Council Exec team, thirteen project areas were represented including: braiding, horticulture and agronomy, shooting sports, horse and rodeo, baking and food and nutrition, engineering science, leather craft, photography, fiber craft and quilting, clothing, dog, livestock, and small animals. The 4-H Home Economist and 4-H/Ag Agent recruited 4-H families with expertise in these thirteen project areas to provide some type of hands-on informational table for youth to gain insight into projects in that area. Over 100 Santa Fe County 4-H youth attended and participated in this event. Several youth indicated they had found several new project areas they were going to undertake. |
