Impact Report | San Miguel County currently has 6 clubs with a total of 115 member. throughout the county. This year San Miguel County had 3 members compete in district contest with two of the members recieving awards and recognition for there projects. We had 4 members showing livestock at the NMSF and over 15 entries in the indoor exhibits at the NMSF. San MIguel County Council Members also displayed a 4-H booth at the NMSF which placed fourth. There were two members that went to compete at the Eastern New Mexico State fair in Roswell. Throughtout the year 4-h members have been involved in various activies. The 4 members took part in tree grafting with Dr. Peter Skeleton at the Memorial Middle School Ag Experiment Station. They grafted trees and then were able to plant them as well. For National 4-H week each 4-h club was to decorate a window in town that displayed 4-h and the fun events and activities that 4-H member participate in, the windows were judged and the best decorated window recieved a pizza party. Open House enrollment night also took place during national 4-H week. New and old 4-H members where encouraged to come and enjoy a night with other 4-H members and refreshments. Awards Banquet was held in December every member recieved recognition for there achivements during the year some members recieved pins and metals for their project completion. The banquet was a potluck and every 4-h member was invited to attend. |
