Impact Report 40 youth attended the Southwest District 4-H Leadership Training held Demining, New Mexico. Youth participated in hands on workshops and activities designed to increase life skills related to leadership, team work, self-esteem, healthy lifestyle choices, problem solving, critical thinking, goal setting, planning, and social skills. 97% of youth reported an increase in knowledge and skills in leadership, and basic life skills as evidenced by the completion of hands on activates, workshops, projects, observations by trainers and self-reporting. One trainee stated: “This weekend was filled with great information and many learning opportunities that I will be able to take home and utilize in my County Council.
