Impact Report | A Beef Cattle Producers Workshop was offered in February as a bi-county effort between the Santa Fe County Agent and the Torrance County Agent. The workshop information was presented with the assistance of extension livestock specialists, a county agent and the extension veterinarian. The topics of the workshop focused on animal health, marketing, bio-security, balancing input costs and dealing with locoweed toxicity. This workshop was attended by 38 producers from both counties with the each producer having different interests, especially the New Mexico Gold calf marketing program which one of the livestock specialists is working on. |
