Impact Report A Home Ec Fun Day was held with the help of 4 Senior 4-H members and a leader. Eleven Novice members participated in the daylong event where 4-Hers learned about various projects and contests. The 4-Hers recycled trash into a useful item for their room. The 4-Hers learned about food safety and food preparation as they prepared a meal for themselves. They learned manners while setting the table, serving, and eating the meal. Most learned that they did not like counted cross stitch. They gained leadership skills as they played games to build teamwork and communication skills. The purpose of the event was to keep the newly recruited members interest in 4-H and build a sense of belonging for these youth. Most made it to the end of the year and will rejoin. Two moved before the end of the year.
