Impact Report | Along with preparing youth to compete in the afore mentioned contests, the Home Economist also instructed and assisted youth from Eddy County in completing 4-H clothing projects which were modeled and judged at County and District Contests. A total of ten 4-H members participated in county sewing labs where the home economist offered assistance and direction for their individual projects. Eight of the ten youth participated in Fashion Revue at the district level and received ribbons for their clothing construction skills. The Home Economist scheduled and held a series of five sewing labs in both Artesia and Carlsbad where youth came and practiced basic sewing skills to create their level one and level two clothing projects. The Home Economist also assisted the quilting project leader in one organized project meeting. Four parent volunteers also attended the sewing labs and assisted the Home Economist. |
