Impact Report | 4-H Foods/Favorite Foods Eleven (11) Chaves County 4-H members attended a Baking I workshop. Members learned how to measure, read a recipe, cooking terms, and nutrition. Members took part in the hand-on activities which included making biscuits and cookies. 100% of youth reported an increase in mastery skills such as planning, organizing, self motivation and goal setting skills. All eleven participants entered baking at the county fair. Five (5) Chaves County 4-H members and cloverbuds attended a Favorite Foods Workshops. Youth received hands on training related to menu planning, basic nutrition, and proper table setting. 100% of youth reported an increase in knowledge related to the Favorite Foods Workshop. 100% of youth reported an increase in mastery skills such as planning, organizing, self motivation and goal setting skills. All five participants entered the Favorite Foods Contest. |
